November 10, 2012 Field Trip - Don talks to us about a "Perched Water Table" that feeds the Berry Creek Pond, points out the "black waxy" soils near Walgreens, explains the ancient reef structures at Lake Georgetown Spillway and brings us to the Eagleford shale sourcerock that outcrops at Celebration Station; Sandi gives a short tour of rudist reef rock and pairie grasses at Wolf Ranch, and Sandi/Rocky take us to Inner Space Caverns to see the fracture of the Balcones Fault and tons of wonderful stalactites/stalagmites...all of which are part of Georgetown's Amazing Geology!
